Killington Facts
Killington town is in Rutland County. The town was known as Sherburne until 1999 when the legislature approved the populations petition changing the name to Killington, reflecting the importance of the Killington Resort to the town. As of the 2000 census the total population is 1,094. The town's total area is 46 square miles.
