  Editorial Review

Located on the Summit Pond, the Grist Mill affords beatiful views of Killington peak. The dining room offers robust meals, although the service can sometimes be lacking. The bar is lively, with an assortment of local characters. Caters to the 40+ crowd. Be sure to try the Grist Mill's famous "Goombay Smash" (drink), more than one and you can find yourself on the floor...or head first in a snow bank. The French Onion soup is quite good and the fresh baked loaf of sweet bread before every meal is a nice touch. On a nice fall or summer evening, a good bet is to sit out on the floating dock and order off the bar menu- great views of the mountain and the constant flock of mallard ducklings or geese. There is an old-fashion popcorn machine near the bar, which can provide either a nice snack for you or perfect feed for the birds! Be sure to check out the free happy hour buffet put out in the bar most nights between 4-6pm- featuring crudite, chicken wings, etc.

User Reviews of Grist Mill Restaurant & Bar

great for lunch
The best time to visit the Grist Mill is during the summer when you can sit on the deck outside overlooking the mountain and fish filled pond out front. There is also a number of ducks and geese that can be fed bread and popcorn from the deck. Lunch is a good bet at the Grist Mill, dinner gets a bit busy and the bar a bit loud with the older crowd.
