You can actually watch them make maple syrup from the second story of this restaurant. Nothing fancy but a great Vermont experience. Amazing pancakes and fresh syrup. (they actually charge you for immitation syrup-the real stuff is free!) Touristy gift shop features tee-shirts and hats, as well as Vermont food products. A fun breakfast place, the only downside is it does get crowded, especially on foliage weekends. Do yourself a favor and order the Sugar House Sampler-you won't be hungry all day!
If you're passing through the area or staying nearby this is a place you have to visit. We ate breakfast there, it was great. The place is 3 stories of interesting and rustic things to see. The gift shop is quaint. My 10 year old loved it!
