  Editorial Review

Under new ownership as of 2004. A full service hotel- featuring large lobby with fireplaces, lounge, restaurant, indoor pool, tennis courts, banquet facilities, gift shop. Plenty of activities for children. They welcome bus tours. Located about 8 miles from Killington on US Route 4. Local artists display their work (for sale) in the numerous hallways. A little of everything set in the heart of Central Vermont.

Beautiful rooms and Great Food
A great place to stay and eat. The suites with fireplaces are beautiful and spacious. The restaurant right on the premises is excellent. There are also a number of great activities to partake in if you are not up for skiing.

New owners havent done much to improve Sysco industrial supply, the dining experience is out of a can. Overpriced function fare with little style and flavor will leave you wanting less and less. The dining room is a testament to staff and how hard the paid help works: it was the only redeming part of the evening. The grounds have a nice snap and the pool is a relief to a weary traveler, some of the rooms are a little tired and show more than a few signs of age...the shower and electrical outlets in our room were a little scary for example...be sure to ask for rooms in the new section. The lobby and afternoon tea is welcome and makes up for the tired room...but dosen't compensate for the lackluster evening grub. Great place for a wedding, but talk the per plate charge down.
