The easiest way to access the mountain if you are coming from I-89 or Ludlow. No need to drive the extra 6 miles to snowshed on narrow winding East Mountain Drive. Just park here and pick up a hot chocolate, the Skyeship Gondola will have you at the top of Skye Peak in 11-12 minutes. Congratulations you just saved yourself a ton of agita fighting for a spot in the Snowshed or K-1 parking lots. The downside is that it feels more like an airport or train terminal waiting area than a Vermont ski lodge.
